Extension of training package transition period for RTOs
As many of you will know too well, there has been a surge in the number of training packages effected by the transition to the Standards for Training Packages. As a result many training packages have been endorsed by the Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC). This has resulted in a massive workload for many RTOs across Australia. To support RTOs to manage the transition and implement the revised training packages, the Australian Government, the Minister for Vocational Education and Skills and state and territory Skills Ministers have agreed to temporarily increase the period allowed to transition students to the updated training package qualifications under Standard 1.26 (a) of the Standards for RTOs 2015. RTOs will now have 18 months for transition, instead of the usual 12 months from the date the superseding training product was released to transition existing students to the updated training package qualifications, or to allow students to complete their studies and issue the appropriate qualification or statement of attainment.

Audit Express is proud to support the world premiere of It’s not for everyone at HotHouse Theatre.
Audit Express is a proud program partner for HotHouse Theatre’s premiere season of It’s Not For Everyone opening on the 19th of March 2015. [emaillocker id=6291]
The HotHouse theatre company located on the Victorian/NSW border in Wodonga has built a formidable reputation nationally as a small to medium theatre company that produces and presents high quality shows and provides valuable services to the creative industry and the local community. In addition to the yearly Subscription Season of plays there is a HotHouse Drama School, the Technical Theatre Training program and Black Border Theatre.
Audit Express is proud to be the program partner of the world premiere of It’s not for everyone which is a locally produced show by Jo Lancaster and Simon Yates (acrobat). In the traditional circus, old acrobats become clowns and continue to work into their dotage. It’s Not For Everyone will open with classical clowning routines that descend into absurdist renditions of brash humour, expressionism and finally, base humanity. Funny, shocking and utterly original, It’s Not For Everyone will mesmerise local audiences before taking the world by storm.
We urge you to support this show and the HotHouse Theatre. You can book tickets online by clicking here or visiting www.hothousetheatre.com.au. You can also support HotHouse Theatre by donating here. Even the smallest amount can make a very real difference. In 2015, Creative Partnerships Australia is supporting HotHouse with their matched funding Plus1 program. They will match every dollar donated to HotHouse Theatre, so every donation dollar will be double.
Some facts about the HotHouse Theatre
HotHouse Theatre is located in Wodonga, right on the NSW/VIC border
Funding from local, state and federal government accounts for less than 50% of the company’s income. The HotHouse Theatre operates on a sustainable business model and generates the remainder through box office, hire fees, business partnerships and donations.
In the mid 1990s, there were over 20 professional theatre companies operating in regional Australia. Today, there are just two that are recognised as key organisations. HotHouse is one of them. Albury Wodonga and their surrounding communities are blessed to have such an outstanding theatre company on their doorstep.
HotHouse plays a crucial role in the community and in the national sector at large. They commission new writing, develop local artists and technicians, run a national residency program and produce and present some of the best work on offer in this country.
Each year, HotHouse Theatre hosts some of the most interesting, innovative and exciting theatre makers from all around Australia. HotHouse Theatre’s A Month in the Country is a nationally renowned artist residency program, giving artists the opportunity to develop new work in a conducive atmosphere 10 minutes outside of Albury. In partnership with AlburyCity, this program has been running since 2004. Playwrights, performers, directors, choreographer’s, composers, musicians and video artists have all taken advantage of this residency program. While in residence, artists deliver workshops through Murray Arts to the community, schools and arts groups.
HotHouse Drama School is the only professional acting training program in the region. They cater for all ages from 5 to adults in a range of classes that build confidence, expression and creativity. [/emaillocker]
